Blogmas #1

Happy December everyone!

It has definitely been a while since my last blog post and so much has happened. I graduated , I moved , and I got a new job. I have also given a lot of thought into what to do with this blog , I contemplated making a running blog or a cooking blog , or a country blog since I moved more to the countryside. I decided to start with blogmas (Christmas blog) , because it’s my favorite season.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the term, vlogmas is very popular on YouTube now , where vloggers record holiday content from December 1 to Christmas Day.

As I do not have a vlogging account on YouTube yet, I wanted to start out on here this year. So this first blog should be up December 1 .

I am so excited for the season it is definitely my favorite season and it is extra exciting because this year it will be our first Christmas as a family in our new home in Ocala.

To give y’all a better idea of what content I will posting up , each day until Christmas will be a holiday related video. I know not everyone celebrated Christmas, but don’t fret there will be plenty of content for y’all to enjoy regardless of what you celebrate. That is one of the reasons I love the holidays so much, because regardless of celebrating Kwanza ,Christmas or Hanukkah, New Years , or whatever y’all do everyone is in a better mood, everyone can enjoy delicious food and time with family and friends.

Now this first blog is more of a disclaimer , because this blog had previously been used with different content, so I wanted to give a better understanding of the new content that can be expected .

I also wanted to briefly update and give you all more information about myself . My name is Linda , I am a Miami born and raised gal who recently moved to Ocala after graduating from FIU . To say it’s been a change is an understatement , Ocala is like night and day from Miami , but I love it here. I moved in with my fiancé and my step son after we got engaged , so we are a small family now and I couldn’t be happier. Getting used to our country town in the outskirts of Ocala has been a rollercoaster ride.

Being used to stores and malls in almost every other street definitely spoiled me . Ocala is a growing town with only one Target ! I like the quiet though, the friendliness of people, the views and nature that surrounds us, and most of all being with my loved ones. Moving away was stressful, there were moments where I didn’t know if it was the right move to go from a bursting city to here , I do miss my parents and friends back in Miami , but I still get to go down and visit.

I’ve been here for six months now and our town , Dunnellon, has grown on me it’s small and cute and we have the privilege to live next to a state park and it’s beautiful . We also get a better autumn here than Miami ! The weather is lovely, not too hot during the day and chilly at night and mornings.

So I feel like I’ve rambled on and on , but I hope y’all are as excited as me for December , the last month of the year and my favorite!

Definitely stay tuned for some of my upcoming blogs on decorating our home, setting our tree, holiday baking, winter running, gift guides, and shopping hauls.

One of our beautiful sunrises.
